MAN O ROSE set the pace up the backstretch, showed the way along the inside through the turn, kicked away in upper stretch and widened under hand urging and flagging from the crop. DROP UM chased off the rail then between rivals into the turn, went two wide around the bend and passed BOOK SMART for second. BOOK SMART raced up close on the inside, eased over to the two path on the turn, watched the winner kick away in upper stretch, flattened out in the late stages but managed to save third. SPEEDY WILSON chased outside DROP UM then three deep into the turn, lost ground around the bend, continued three wide into the stretch, lacked the needed response but almost got by a weakening BOOK SMART for the show honors.
