VODKA VODKA was closest in pursuit of the leader from the two path through the opening stages, challenged from outside on the far turn, overtook STAMP MY PASSPORT in upper stretch and held gamely over rivals on both sides in the final strides. HEY JESSIE traveled in the two path towards the rear, angled out at the quarter pole, entered the lane four wide, came with a late run but ran out of ground. STAMP MY PASSPORT took control outside STOP DIGGING early then cleared that rival and moved inside, showed the way unchallenged to the far turn, took pressure from VODKA VODKA around the bend, relinquished the lead in upper stretch and stayed on gamely to the wire. CALL ME SIR tracked outside a rival or in the two path while in hand, crept closer leaving the backstretch, asked three wide at the five-sixteenths pole, finished willingly down the lane but lacked the needed late punch. STOP DIGGING raced up close inside STAMP MY PASSPORT then stalked that rival from the rail position, ridden along while continuing to save ground on the far turn, chased within striking distance through the lane but finished evenly. NONE ABOVE THE LAW allowed to settle on the inside, moved into range leaving the backstretch, rounded the far turn in the two path and could not rally. FREEPORT JOE settled outside a rival, went two then three wide around the clubhouse turn, remained three wide on the far turn and could not rally. MR. DISRESPECTFUL was rank in the early going at the back, lugged out early on the clubhouse turn, continued at the back in the middle stages, lugged out badly at the five-sixteenths pole, eased through the lane and walked off.
