STRAIGHT BUZZIN came away cleanly while breaking last, sped to the front to take control, opened up on the turn, remained well clear into the final furlong and was ridden out to the wire. LAKE SMOKIN tracked three wide out of range into the turn, moved out to the four path around the bend, finished willingly to gain second but could only whittle the gap on the winner. BOSSING MO sat off the pace in the early going, took the turn two wide, finished well down the lane but got outclosed for second. CHIEF RESIDENT chased from inside while out of striking distance, ridden along through the turn, cut the corner into the lane and lacked a rally. TIGGRRR WHITWORTH came away well then pressed the leader from outside up the backstretch, lost contact with that rival into the turn, chased two then three wide around the bend and weakened in the drive. I'MALWAYSTHIRSTY chased the top pair from outside, took the turn three wide and weakened. BANDOLERO bobbled a bit leaving the gate, trailed on the inside into the turn, eased off the rail approaching the quarter pole, angled out into the lane and was never a factor.
