Footnotes
COMEDY TOWN came in a bit early then quickly cleared from outside, led along the rail then a bit off the inside around the turn, roused in upper stretch and drew away under left handed urging in the final furlong. DEL MAR JERRY had to take up shortly after the start when COMEDY TOWN cut in front, chased three wide into and around the turn, went three deep into the stretch and outkicked KNOWN IDEA for the place honors. KNOWN IDEA raced up close on the inside, hugged the rail through the turn, lacked a bid in the furlong grounds and got edged for second. FOUR O SIX CREED stalked the lone speed outside KNOWN IDEA, chased two wide through the turn, followed within striking distance to the eight pole, then flattened between rivals. KAHUNA MAGIC broke a step slow, lagged behind in the early going, traveled along the rail then two wide on the turn, angled out approaching the stretch and proved no menace.
