GRANDISIMO chased from inside then moved into the two path around the first turn, bid between the top pair on the far turn, seized command in upper stretch, kicked clear inside the eighth pole and inched away to the wire. STORMIN MIDNIGHT bumped three wide early on the first turn, went up to duel into the backstretch, fought on even terms from outside into the far turn, battled three deep at the quarter pole, remained close into the final furlong but could not match the winner late while clearly second best. CITIZEN BARRETT chased two wide approaching the first turn, bumped with outer rival and steadied behind another early on the bend, stalked three wide into the far turn, bid four deep around the bend and weakened in the drive. BANG AND A BOOM tracked three wide around the first turn, stayed off the rail to the second bend, spun five wide into the lane and weakened. ROAD RULES sprinted to the front in the two path then moved inside on the first turn, dueled with outer rival into the backstretch, came under a ride into the second bend, vied inside a trio of rivals with a quarter mile remaining and weakened down the stretch. DANZING ZELLA steadied two wide behind CITIZEN BARRETT early on the first turn, moved inside then came off the rail a bit once more around the bend, trailed up the backstretch and far turn and had little left for the stretch run.
