MR. TARIFF vied three deep around the first turn, dueled up the backstretch and far turn, disposed with inner rival approaching the stretch, drew off when asked right handed and widened under steady handling to the wire. ONE STEP BEYOND dueled from inside, could not stay with the winner coming into the stretch, angled out in the lane and held second. SMOKEINTHEAIR was off slow to begin, trailed two wide around the first turn, crept closer in the middle stages, chased three then four wide around the far turn and was along for the show honors. GOLDEN CHASER vied between rivals around the first turn, took a stalking position approaching the backstretch, rounded the far turn two then three wide and weakened.
