NAFISA was closest in pursuit three then two wide around the first turn, flanked BRILLIANTLY from outside in the middle stages, put a head in front at the five-sixteenths pole, put BRILLIANTLY away with a quarter mile remaining, then drew off under a few taps of right handed encouragement and strong handling to the wire. JANE AUSTEN chased four then three deep on the clubhouse turn, ridden along in the two path on the second bend, chased willingly through the lane to gain second but could not make any headway on the winner. BRILLIANTLY established the front quickly and steered to the inside, controlled the pace up the backstretch, took pressure from NAFISA and lost command at the five-sixteenths pole, could not match strides with the winner late on the bend, chased along the rail to the stretch and churned on for the show honors. OOTY (ARG) gave chase on the inside, tipped three wide late on the far turn and failed to rally. SO THERE SHE WAS trailed in the two path early, went three deep into the far turn, chased in the two path turning for home and flattened out. FUGITIVE STAR tracked in the two path between rivals, lost ground in the middle stages, trailed around the far turn, went three wide into the lane, eased in the final furlong and walked off.
