CATHAL (IRE) tracked three then two wide on the clubhouse turn, drew closer in the three path on the far turn, drew alongside PACIFIC QUEST at the top of the lane, fought head to head into deep stretch and edged that rival late. PACIFIC QUEST set all the pace from inside, met the bid from CATHAL (IRE) at the top of the stretch, resisted into deep stretch but yielded grudgingly in the end. YA'LL COME was closest in pursuit form the two path, chased a bit off the rail into the lane and failed to produce a bid. SMOOTH SALUTE trailed four wide early on the clubhouse turn then tucked down inside, saved ground through the second bend, moved off the fence in the lane and was never a factor. EARNED NOT GIVEN settled inside, drew closer on the backstretch, ridden along the fence around the far turn, tipped out in upper stretch and weakened.
