BABE RUTHLESS stalked from inside then in the two path around the first turn, moved up to press the pace on the backstretch, headed the leader at the three-eighths pole, cleared past the five-sixteenths marker, led three wide into the lane, met the bid from IRISH ELEMENT in the final furlong and gamely prevailed. IRISH ELEMENT broke out and bumped, tracked from inside to the far turn, tipped two wide midway around the bend, rallied inside BABE RUTHLESS, battled with that rival in deep stretch but could not get by. GOODBYE DAL crowded shortly after the start, lagged behind on the inside into the first turn, moved off the rail into the backstretch and started to whittle the gap on the leaders, gained in the three path on the far turn, chased outside IRISH ELEMENT into the final furlong and flattened in the late stages. PALO ALTO brushed leaving the gate, followed in rang from the three path, dropped back in the two path then along the rail on the far turn and passed a tired rival in the stretch. LOVE DA GIG bumped leaving the gate, led two wide into the first turn then angled over to the rail, took pressure in the middle stages, headed with the three furlongs remaining, yielded to outer rival past the five-sixteenths pole and gave way.
