SUBTLE KNOWLEDGE bumped leaving the gate, fought inside rivals up the backstretch, dueled with RECKLESS RIDE past the five-sixteenths pole, lost command late on the bend, regained the advantage in upper stretch, drew clear approaching the sixteenth pole and held safely in the end. TOM'S STAR chased in range on the inside early, dropped back on the turn, came back along the fence, got up for second but could not reach the winner. PLAY FOR ME raced up close outside the top trio, chased four then three wide on the turn, bid three deep with a furlong remaining but flattened in the late stages. SMILING RAPPER trailed inside a rival to the turn, went between rivals at the five-sixteenths pole, came four wide into the lane, produced a mild rally and rounded out the superfecta. SIEMPRE NAMAN raced outside SMILING RAPPER at the back in the early going, angled five wide around the far turn and improved position. RECKLESS RIDE vied three deep to the turn, dueled outside the winner around the bend and put a head in front, lost command at the top of the lane, fought to midstretch, then weakened in the final sixteenth. DANZING ZELLA took a bump shortly after the start, chased off the rail then moved to the inside for the turn, angled three wide around the bend and weakened. TRICKIFULT threw his head and bumped with inner rival at the start, bumped DANZING ZELLA shortly after, chased two wide around the bend and tired.
