GREENWICH VILLAGE bumped with inner rival leaving the gate, trailed two wide down the hill, angled out in the lane, unleashed a rally from outside, drew alongside the top trio past the sixteenth pole and edged HEY NAY NAY (IRE) in the final strides. HEY NAY NAY (IRE) raced up close to the inside of the top pair, eased out to the three path around the bend, challenged into deep stretch, put a nose in front briefly but was outclosed by the winner. LATER THAN PLANNED (IRE) prompted the pace from outside down the hill, took a narrow lead dueling with TRACK TIGER in upper stretch, battled into the final sixteenth and got overtaken by the top pair late. TRACK TIGER bobbled a bit leaving the gate then took control while under pressure from LATER THAN PLANNED (IRE), maintained a short lead through the turn, showed the way off the inside coming into the lane, lost command outside the eighth pole, fought back to the sixteenth pole, then yielded late. BUST OUT chased two then three wide around the turn, angled out crossing the dirt and lacked a rally in the stretch run. WON FOR LOU bumped with the winner at the start, tracked the top pair from the rail position, saved ground to the stretch and never responded when called upon. CAL'S GOAL sat off the pace in the early going, went two, three, then four wide on the turn, angled out over the dirt, steered inward in upper stretch and failed to menace.
