CLASSICO controlled the pace from inside to the quarter pole, met the bid from KEAGMAN (IRE) approaching the lane, turned that rival away in upper stretch, drew away past the eighth pole, then held safely over the late run from the runner-up. BIGGIEBIGGIEBIGGIE settled on the inside well off the pace, angled out at the quarter pole, exited the far turn in the three path, tipped out further at the top of the lane, closed well for second but could not reach the winner. KEAGMAN (IRE) pulled and fought the rider between runners into the first turn, bumped TRAIL BLAZE early on the bend, stalked from inside, bid two wide leaving the far turn, got turned away in upper stretch and flattened to third. DREAMRIDER broke a step slow, tracked outside a rival to the far turn, chased three deep around that bend and lacked the needed response. IT'S TIME tracked from inside through both turns, moved out in upper stretch and weakened. TRAIL BLAZE forwardly placed three deep into the first turn, took a bump from KEAGMAN (IRE) early on the bend, stalked the lone leader in the two path, started to weaken around the far turn and faded in the lane. CURLY'S AGENDA was off very slow to begin, trailed the field on the inside, went two wide into the lane, drifted out further in upper stretch and was never a factor.
