DEA MATRONA (FR) traveled three deep at the back around the clubhouse turn, crept closer in the middle stages, chased two wide on the far turn, three wide leaving the bend, angled widest at the top of the stretch, rallied into contention at the eighth pole and edged CANDY BAR late. CANDY BAR pulled along the inside behind the leader early, stalked the top pair to the stretch, challenged from inside and took over outside the eighth pole, fought with DEA MATRONA (FR) in deep stretch but could not fend off that rival. SHIN JIDAI (GB) tracked three deep around the first turn, remained three wide into the second bend, tipped four wide past the quarter pole, launched a bid in upper stretch and flattened out in the last sixteenth. CHAI got crowded between runners and had to take up early, settled along the inside, moved into the two path late on the far turn, chased between rivals in the furlong grounds and needed to find more late. SHE'S SPLENDID steadied at the back into the first turn, saved ground along the inside, remained next to the fence in the drive and kept trying to improve position. TAM'S LITTLE ANGEL stepped to the front and led along the inside under pressure, headed by outer rival on the backstretch, dueled around the far turn, relinquished the lead in upper stretch and weakened. LADY LAOBAN raced in range between rivals in the two path, tipped three wide past the quarter pole and weakened. BIG MAMA SUE steadied into the first turn then raced outside a rival at the back, trailed in the two path on the far turn and was never a factor. KATERINI pressed the pace from outside, moved up on even terms on the backstretch, fought head to head around the second bend and tired in the furlong grounds.
