SAKURA FLAVOR (IRE) settled in the two path well off the pace, moved into range chasing outside a rival on the far turn, bid three deep with a furlong remaining and dug in for the victory. CHURCH LADY (IRE) angled to the inside and was unhurried in the early going, moved into striking distance on the far turn, tipped out at the top of the lane, got boxed in behind the leader and clipped heels midstretch, recovered quickly and challenged from inside, finished gamely to the wire but came up just short in the end. WITH LOVE (GB) sat off the pace on the inside, went two wide into the far turn, gained while easing over to the three path then returned to the two path approaching the stretch, drew alongside EXINGTON and overtook that rival at the eighth pole, carried a short lead into deep stretch and got outkicked by rivals on both sides late. TRUE PATRIOT trailed on the inside to the far turn, eased out to the three path while asked left handed around the bend, finished well through the stretch but could only produce a mild late bid. EXINGTON sprinted clear from inside, drew away while drifting to the two path on the first turn, opened up racing keenly in hand, carried a diminishing lead through the far turn, relinquished the lead at the eighth pole and weakened in the last sixteenth. LADY LITHESOME broke well then chased in the two path around the first turn, closed in on the leader along the rail or two path on the far turn but weakened in the lane. THERE WAS A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INVOLVING CHURCH LADY (IRE) AND WITH LOVE (GB) IN THE STRETCH RUN. THE STEWARDS RULED THAT CHURCH LADY (IRE) CAUSED HER OWN PROBLEMS BY RUNNING UP ON THE HEELS OF WITH LOVE (GB) IN MIDSTRETCH AND THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
