POTENTE away quickly to take the lead then dueled inside CAPTAIN SHREVE up the backstretch and around the turn, carried a short lead into the final furlong and inched away from CAPTAIN SHREVE in deep stretch. CAPTAIN SHREVE dueled outside POTENTE while in hand up the backstretch, fought two wide through the turn, battled into the final furlong, lacked the needed late punch but was clearly second best. DEEP TRACKS got bumped solidly by CONSTITUTION ANDI at the start, chased after the top pair two to three wide, failed to rally down the lane but kept on for the show honors. CRUISIN FOR CALI broke slow and bobbled in the beginning, raced inside a rival at the back early, saved ground through the turn and was never a factor. CONSTITUTION ANDI broke in and bumped DEEP TRACKS, traveled outside CRUISIN FOR CALI at the rear, trailed three wide around the bend and was never a factor.
