SURFIN' U. S. A. settled inside, drew closer under coaxing around the bend, angled out into the lane, challenged four deep between rivals in upper stretch, put a head in front midstretch, bumped with FANCY LADY at the sixteenth pole and gamely prevailed. FANCY LADY bumped leaving the gate, was forced to take up early, angled inward, traveled along the inside into the turn, tipped two wide at the quarter pole, got floated out by SURFIN' U. S. A. into the stretch, rallied five deep, bumped with SURFIN' U. S. A. at the sixteenth pole, dug in gamely but could not get by that rival. ACOUSTIC KITTY (IRE) bumped with FANCY LADY in the beginning, got crowded and checked early, trailed leaving the backstretch, saved ground on the turn and passed a rival, angled widest in the lane, unleashed a rally but was not enough in the end. SILKIE SEVEI (IRE) stalked outside a rival, went three wide around the bend, bid three deep in upper stretch, led briefly past the eighth pole, then flattened out in the late stages. RED CHERRY chased from inside, ridden along around the bend, bid between rivals in the lane but flattened out. LADY DETECTIVE sped clear and set the pace up the backstretch, saved ground through the turn, challenged by rivals in upper stretch, clung to a narrow lead at the eighth pole, relinquished the lead immediately after and gave way. NOT WITH A FOX bumped with KIZAZI early, tracked two wide into the turn, stayed off the rail to the stretch and weakened. KIZAZI bumped with NOT WITH A FOX early, chased from off the rail, lugged out briefly at the eighth pole, dropped back to last and could not recover.
