WINDRIBBON traveled in mid-pack off the rail early, closed in around the turn, loomed four wide into stretch, headed leader at the eighth pole and drove clear. THE BIG CHEESEOLA sprinted clear and crossed over, led along the rail through the turn, collared by WINDRIBBON in upper stretch, lost command shortly after and held second. CAROL'S COMIC was off a bit slow from outside, chased five wide into the turn, angled down to the two path around the bend, found the rail in the stretch and offered a mild rally for the show honors. SMARTY NOSE raced inside rivals at the back, saved ground through the turn, steered out in upper stretch and showed a mild response to earn a minor award. ELEGANT LIFE was closest in pursuit up the backstretch, chased two wide through the turn, flattened in the furlong grounds and lost the crop near the wire while getting edged for fourth. OOBUBBAKAKAYO raced in the second flight keeping off the rail, went four wide into the turn, two wide exiting the bend and was never a factor.
