Footnotes
UNCLE CHILLY broke well then let THIRTY TWO CHUNK have the lead, chased the top trio from off the rail into the turn, took aim in the three path turning for home, dug in the last sixteenth and overhauled the runner-up. THIRTY TWO CHUNK showed speed outside UNCLE CHILLY then took command and crossed over, confronted by a pair of rivals shortly after, dueled inside SINGLEMORE around the bend, put that rival away in upper stretch, showed the way into the final sixteenth but could not fend off the winner in the final fifty yards. HONDO CROUCH broke a step slow, trailed off the pace then moved closer up the backstretch, passed a rival while four wide on the turn, drifted out then drifted back in late in the drive and gained third. SINGLEMORE chased briefly then went up to fight for the lead three deep and put ahead in front, dueled outside THIRTY TWO CHUNK around the bend, yielded to that rival at the top of the lane and flattened to fourth. SOLO GANO chased briefly then pressed the pace between rivals to the half-mile pole, failed to keep up with the top pair leaving the backstretch, dropped back to last on the turn and had little left for the drive.
