THREE GEORGES angled to the inside chasing the leader early then alter out a bit at the half-mile pole, bid from the two path on the turn, raced on even terms at the quarter pole, put a head in front in upper stretch, disposed of MAKE IT A LARGE in midstretch while meeting the challenge from MAGIC CONNECTION and held well over that rival late. MAGIC CONNECTION tracked two wide into the turn, eased out a bit further late on the bend, moved out in the drive and took aim at the top pair, challenged THREE GEORGES midstretch but lacked the needed late kick to go by. NOVINOPHOBIA sat off the pace in the early going, tucked inside on the turn, moved off the fence in the lane and summoned a mild rally to earn the show honors. MAKE IT A LARGE stepped to the front and steered over to the inside, challenged by the winner past the three-eighths pole, dueled late on the bend, lost command in upper stretch and weakened in the last sixteenth. NO MORE DING DONGS ridden along chasing outside a rival up the backstretch, rounded the turn three then four wide and weakened in the final furlong. FINCAIRN lacked early speed, went three to four wide around the bend and passed a tired rival. GOT YOUR SIX chased the leader outside THREE GEORGES early, drifted out and steadied next to a rival at the quarter pole, then had little left for the stretch run.
