Footnotes
LAST CALL PAUL sprinted to the front and moved inside on the clubhouse turn, controlled the pace up the backstretch, met the bid from TYPHOON TOMMY at the three-eighths pole, put that rival away at the quarter pole, remained clear into the last sixteenth, came under threat from SPUN NOT STIRRED late and was able to hold that rival at bay. SPUN NOT STIRRED stalked three wide into the first turn then raced outside a rival, stayed off the rail to the far turn, came under a ride in the three path, took aim at the winner at the top of the lane, drew alongside in deep stretch but could not get by. TYPHOON TOMMY was closest in pursuit from the two path, challenged from outside with three furlongs remaining, got turned away by the leader at the quarter pole, flattened in the drive but was able to secure third. WHITE MOUNTAIN was off slow to begin, trailed in the two path, passed a tired rival on the far turn, angled to the rail late on the bend and failed to menace. PAT CAN'T COUNT stalked the pacesetter from inside, coaxed along at the half-mile pole, dropped back on the far turn and tired.
