SCATALOTADINGDONG raced up close outside the leader then in the two path around the first turn, pressed from outside then between runners on the backstretch, dueled around the far turn, seized control in upper stretch, put DR. FILKINS away at the eighth pole and was kept busy to the wire. DR. FILKINS grabbed the lead from inside, led under pressure up the backstretch, dueled around the far turn, relinquished the lead in upper stretch and stayed on to secure second. ROBIN OLDS ran up on heels while along the rail early, trailed up the backstretch, passed tired rivals still next to the fence on the far turn, angled out in the lane and showed late run but could not get by DR. FILKINS for second. ALMOST THERE chased along the rail then started to pull around the clubhouse turn, coaxed along leaving the backstretch, saved ground to the stretch and finished evenly late. BEEBLEBROX tracked in the two path then tugged the rider forward racing keenly in hand, bid three deep on the backstretch, lost touch with the leader but remained close in the three path on the far turn and flattened out in the furlong grounds. DESERT HAWK settled inside, coaxed along into the far turn, advanced from the fence around that bend, steered out in the lane, got bumped by inner rival late and lacked the needed late punch. PASSION D ORO broke a step slow, got forced out into the first turn, raced outside rivals up the backstretch, found traffic on the far turn, angled out in upper stretch and was never a factor. OMISSION reserved early then had to alter out from behind a rival into the first turn, moved out five deep early on the backstretch then came back in for the far turn, ridden along from the two path and faded in the drive. JOHN METCALFE ran up on heels into the first turn, pulled two to three wide around the bend, bid four deep on the backstretch, drifted in but was corrected on the far turn costing him momentum and had little left for the stretch run.
