ALLEQUIN SUMMER sat off the pace in the opening stages, exited the backstretch in the two path, weas on the moved along the rail then loomed two wide turning for home, confronted the leader from inside in upper stretch, seized control with a furlong remaining and powered away under strong handling. ONE STEP BEYOND was closest in pursuit of the lead early on, drew alongside on the turn, took over at the quarter pole, cleared leaving the bend, challenged by ALLEQUIN SUMMER in upper stretch, yielded to that rival and kept on to secure second. I'MALWAYSTHIRSTY broke well then dropped off the pace, moved inside, steered out to the four path around the bend and gained third. ITSNOTROCKET trailed up the backstretch, raced along the inside into the turn, angled out to three path then returned to the inside around the bend and passed tired rivals. ROCKY COLAVITO raced in range from off the rail, asked three wide on the turn and tired. COTTON MOUTH was sent for the front from inside, cleared the field and showed the way up the backstretch, challenged by ONE STEP BEYOND on the turn, lost command at the quarter pole and retreated.
