Footnotes
JAGUAR JON was closest in pursuit to the outside of the leader, challenged turning for home, put a head in front while bumping with TIGER IN MY TANK at the eighth pole and maintained a short lead over that rival to the wire. TIGER IN MY TANK showed the way up the backstretch, led along the rail through the turn, confronted by JAGUAR JON entering the lane, bumped and lost command at the eighth pole and stayed on inside the winner to the wire. JOINT VENTURE tracked well off the rail while out of range in the early going, went four wide into the turn, moved to the three path then tipped five wide at the quarter pole, produced a mild rally and was along for the show honors. ATOMIC DROP raced up close between rivals, chased two wide around the bend, drifted out from left handed urging in upper stretch and lost third. WINDS OF FREEDOM lost his path and checked early, raced on heels and had to check once more on the backstretch, went three wide into the turn but quickly moved into the two path and weakened in the lane. DIRTY WORDS was antsy in the gate, chased three deep early, remained three wide to the stretch and weakened. RAGING WATERS chased four deep early, stayed four wide through the turn, got crowded at the eighth pole but was already starting to weaken. FOUR O SIX CREED chased from inside, started to weaken on the turn, cut the corner into the lane and faded. GYPSY TEARS broke a step slow and brushed with outer rival, lacked early speed, went two wide around the bend and was never a factor.
