Footnotes
AHRENS set the pace under pressure from TEXAS WILDCAT to the outside, carried a short lead to the top of the lane, shook free in upper stretch and drew off under hand urging. TEXAS WILDCAT prompted the pace from outside up the backstretch and around the turn, got turned away in upper stretch and stayed on to secure second. TRAIL BLAZE brushed leaving the gate, chased along the rail into the turn, tipped three wide around the bend, lacked the needed rally but kept on to hold third. ANOTHER JUANITO chased between rivals then two wide on the turn and failed to find the needed response in the final furlong. MAXIMUM GLADIATOR chased four deep early, came five wide into the lane and weakened. SOUTHERN SIG stalked four then three deep in the early going, rounded the bend three then four wide and weakened in the drive. NASH FOR CASH brushed with TRAIL BLAZE in the beginning, chased between then dropped back early, saved ground trailing the field and never got involved.
