Footnotes
PRIVATE GEM pressed the pace from outside, moved up on even terms around the bend, vied between runners into the stretch, dueled inside TRAVELIN' SHOW to midstretch and drew clear in the final sixteenth. TRAVELIN' SHOW raced up close outside the top pair, challenged three deep on the turn, put a head in front while drifting in a bit in upper stretch, was overtaken by PRIVATE GEM with a furlong remaining and got turned away in deep stretch. BOLT SUPREMACY angled to the inside stalking the leaders, saved ground through the turn then chased a bit off the rail into the lane, moved out further for the drive, could not summon the needed late kick but was along for the show. OSCAR JOY showed the way early under pressure from PRIVATE GEM to the outside, dueled around the turn, fought inside a pair of rivals entering the lane, yielded in upper stretch and flattened to fourth. NAFTIS chased keenly in hand up the backstretch from off the rail, took the turn three to four wide and weakened in the drive. ENOUGH ALREADY was off a bit slow and trailed early, moved into range entering the turn, traveled four then five wide around the bend and flattened out.
