Footnotes
COWBOY MIKE showed early speed outside MANITOWISH then cleared that rival and crossed over on the first turn, met the bid from IL BELLATOR midway around the second bend, drifted off the fence while battling down the lane and gamely prevailed. IL BELLATOR stalked two then three wide around the first turn, bid three then four wide on the far turn, fought outside COWBOY MIKE in the two path turning for home, drifted while fighting gamely with that rival to the wire but could not find the needed final kick to get by. BARELY FUNTIONAL tracked from inside then in the two path, tipped out into the lane, angled in from behind the top pair near the eighth pole and flattened late. MALIBU ROCKS broke a step slow, trailed inside to two wide on both turns and edged MANITOWISH for a minor award. MANITOWISH broke well showed early foot inside the winner before steadying into the first turn, moved off the fence to the two path while closest in pursuit, chased two to three wide on the second bend and weakened down the lane.
