Footnotes
BOWTIE BOYS stepped to the front and moved inside, coaxed along on the far turn, asked for more with a quarter mile remaining, dug in under right handed urging and stayed clear to the wire. SMILING TIZZY was closest in pursuit from the two path, loomed two wide turning for home but got turned away by the winner. UNCLE EVCO chased three deep around the first turn, remained three wide to the stretch, kept trying through the lane and almost got by SMILING TIZZY for the second. IRISH ELEMENT lagged behind on the inside then in the two path, trailed three wide into the far turn, angled to the rail and passed tired rivals around the bend but could not threaten for the major awards. GRANDISIMO tracked along the inside to the far turn, started to weaken in the two path around that bend and came up empty in the lane. CANYAHEARMEKNOCKIN was off slow to begin, dropped off the pace in the three path, went four wide into the far turn, fell back to last, went two wide into the lane and tired.
