GRATEFULLY stepped to the front and steered to the inside, showed the way uncontested through the turn, roused in upper stretch, met the challenge from SARATOGA SPECIAL (IRE) with a furlong remaining, dug in under right then left handed urging and gamely prevailed. SARATOGA SPECIAL (IRE) stalked the pacesetter along the rail, drafted behind GRATEFULLY through the turn, moved out a bit to launch a bid in upper stretch, latched onto GRATEFULLY at the eighth pole, fought on even terms in deep stretch and got denied. ANTIFONA (FR) traveled near the back on the inside, hugged the rail to the stretch, moved into striking distance in upper stretch and outkicked AMORITA for the show honors. AMORITA followed in range two wide leaving the backstretch, chased three wide at the quarter pole, got floated four wide into the lane, finished evenly in the furlong grounds and got edged for third. NAY V BELLE laid off the pace between rivals, rounded the bend in the two path, steered out in the lane and improved position. EGYPTIAN MAU (SAF) was off slow to begin, chased three deep from off the pace, came four wide into the stretch and failed to rally. IMABOUTAGO (IRE) settled inside, moved into range while easing over to the two path on the turn, tipped out into the stretch and flattened in the lane. MISS LIZZY trailed along the inside leaving the backstretch, moved out and came three wide into the stretch, steered out to the middle portion of the track in the lane and was never a factor. JUNGLE PEACE (IRE) followed the leader closely outside a rival, took the turn two wide and weakened between rivals in the drive.
