GORDON'S LEGACY tracked along the rail out of range then drew closer past the half-mile pole, tipped two wide past the five-sixteenths marker, took aim at the top of the stretch, headed WOODSON with a furlong remaining, cleared that rival midstretch and won going away. SAND BAGGER sat off the pace in the early going, angled to the inside, chased two wide leaving the turn, moved out in the lane and rallied for second. WOODSON came out and bumped a rival early, was closest in pursuit two wide leaving the backstretch, took over at the five-sixteenths pole, cleared with a quarter mile remaining, headed by GORDON'S LEGACY at the eighth pole and weakened. MY BOX OF LIGHT ran up on heels and checked early, angled to the inside, moved to the two path briefly then returned to the fence on the turn, angled out in the lane and kept on to round out the superfecta. SOI NGERN raced three deep between rivals from off the pace into the turn, got crowded at the five-sixteenths marker, cut to the inside, produced a mild rally from the fence and improved position. MISSILE CRUISER threw his head leaving the gate and dropped back several lengths, fought the rider again early prior to the dirt crossing, trailed two wide around the bend and showed a mild response down the lane to pass tired rivals. LOVE DA GIG sprinted to the front from outside, challenged by WOODSON at the three-eighths pole, yielded to that rival outside the quarter pole and tired. ENGLISH ICON got bumped from inside early, chased from off the pace two to three wide and could not make an impact. JOHNSON'S MAGIC got bumped on both sides early, chased two to three wide on the turn and faded in the lane. LOCH N' PHAROAH settled four deep early, remained wide through the turn, tipped out in the lane and failed to menace. DUE TO A TIMER MALFUNCTION THE FIRST QUARTER FRACTION WAS HAND-TIMED.
