GREENWICH VILLAGE stalked from inside then had to steady a bit off the heels of BRIGANTE leaving the clubhouse turn, moved off the rail on the backstretch, gained three deep around the far turn, took aim at the MEDICI in upper stretch, drew alongside that rival into deep stretch, dug in late and got up at the wire. MEDICI dueled from outside then cleared inner rival around the first turn, set all the pace to the stretch, asked right handed past the eighth pole with GREENWICH VILLAGE bearing down on the outside, resisted through the final sixteenth and got nailed on the line. IRISEACH (IRE) unhurried in the early going and steered to the two path, moved into range two then three wide around the far turn, tipped out at the top of the stretch, finished well outside the top pair but ran out of ground. CARO BUONO (FR) raced outside a rival at the back then moved inside on the clubhouse turn, advanced along the rail then two wide late on the far turn, rallied inside the top trio late and rounded out the superfecta. LATER THAN PLANNED (IRE) had the saddle slip forward while pulling the rider along early, moved to the inside, chased from off the pace to the far turn, got boxed in and had to steady around the bend, went three wide into the lane, angled out and finished willingly. UNRIVALED TIME stalked between rivals then got crowded a bit around the first turn, followed out of range of the pacesetter up the backstretch, navigated the far turn three then four wide and could not rally when called upon. ARMY MAN forwardly placed outside a pair of rivals then shifted to the two path early, stalked outside a rival in the middle stages, continued to give chase in the two path to the stretch and flattened out. BRIGANTE dueled from inside into the first turn then took a stalking position late on the bend, came under a ride on the far turn still next to the fence and tired in the stretch. SMOOVIN SATURDAY trailed on the inside into the first turn, lagged behind to the stretch, eased in the lane and walked off.
