MANIATIC (IRE) trailed along the inside early, was on the move two wide through the far turn, angled out into the lane, closed in quickly and drew alongside TRUSTY RUSTY with a sixteenth remaining and drove clear. TRUSTY RUSTY traveled in mid-pack outside a rival, drew closer three deep around the far turn, seized control in upper stretch, could not fend off the winner in deep stretch and managed to hold second. DRUIDIC settled in the two path, angled to the rail with a quarter mile remaining, moved out in upper stretch, closed in and angled inside TRUSTY RUSTY late but could not get by that rival for second. PLEASE FOCUS took control and moved inside while pressured by MONGOLIAN APPLE, cleared that rival on the far turn, challenged by outer rivals into the lane, lost command in upper stretch and weakened. SO I'M TOLD stalked along the rail to the far turn, gained around the bend, tipped two wide inside the quarter pole, bid between rivals entering the lane but flattened out in the furlong grounds. BRUTTO laid off the pace on the inside, fell back to last on the far turn and could not be a factor in the stretch run. MONGOLIAN APPLE pressed the pace from outside, could not keep up with the leader on the far turn, chased between runners late on the bend and tired.
