PROOF HE RIDES raced up close on the inside then switched to the outside, applied pressure to the leader past the half-mile pole, seized control at the quarter pole, spurted away in upper stretch, carried a comfortable lead into the final fifty yards and held safely approaching the wire. SON OF A BIRCH settled off the pace, took the turn three then two wide, lacked room behind a trio of rivals turning for home, angled out into the clear, finished well through the final furlong to move into second but could not reach the winner. DROP UM brushed with outer rival early, chased off the rail then outside rivals, spun three wide into the stretch and got outkicked for the place. NESSO'S LASTHARRAH broke inward, trailed up the backstretch, raced two wide on the turn, found traffic approaching the stretch, angled to the inside in the lane and produced a mild rally to round out the superfecta. CHARLIE'S TO BLAME bumped leaving the gate, angled to the inside racing near the back, trailed around the bend, swung out for the stretch and offered a mild response to improve position. FOMO JOE got bumped between rivals early, chased two wide into the turn, angled to the rail, saved ground into the lane and could not rally. DHITJARI (GB) bumped leaving the gate, pursued in range up the backstretch, raced along the rail and was asked right handed late on the bend, moved off the fence in the drive and weakened. CUBAN CONFUSION (GB) chased between rivals then in the two path on the turn and weakened. MISCHIEF RIVER bumped with outer rival at the start, bumped with inner rival in the early going, took the turn four wide and weakened in the drive. SUPERSONIC BLUE bumped with outer rival and bobbled at the start, recovered and went straight to the front, pressured by outer rival past the half-mile pole, lost command with a quarter mile remaining and folded in the lane.
