CHEROKEE NATION made light contact with outer rival at the start, pressed the pace from outside, dueled into the far turn, seized control around the bend, put WINSTON AVE away approaching the stretch, opened up under strong handling in upper stretch and widened under left handed encouragement and steady handling. WINSTON AVE showed the way from inside under pressure from CHEROKEE NATION, fought on even terms leaving the backstretch, lost command around the turn, yielded to the winner late on the bend, kept on down the lane and finished a clear second. FAUSTO unhurried in the early going on the outside, tucked inside on the first turn, moved into range approaching the backstretch, saved ground through the far turn, moved off the fence in the lane and could not summon the needed rally but was able to hold third. ERUPTION tracked three to four wide on the clubhouse turn, dropped back in three path on the second bend and could not rally. LATITUDE stalked two to three wide early, between rivals in the middle stages, asked in the two path on the far turn and faded. ATTACK NOW brushed leaving the gate, trailed on the inside around the first turn, remained at the back on the rail then in the two path on the second bend and was never a factor.
