DISCREPANCY stalked in the two path leaving the backstretch, shifted in to bother CHOLLIMA at the three-eighths pole, crept closer around the bend, driven two wide into the stretch, seized control outside eighth pole and held a short advantage over WOODBINE WAY to the wire. WOODBINE WAY quickly took control, led two wide into the turn then moved over to the rail, challenged by DISCREPANCY at the top of the stretch, relinquished the lead entering the furlong grounds and stayed on well from inside for a game second. CHOLLIMA stalked the pacesetter from inside, got put in tight by the winner at the three-eighths pole, came off the rail and chased three wide turning for home, finished willingly through the lane and gained ground late while picking up the show honors. CITY GLITTER raced up close from outside, chased after WOODBINE WAY two then tree wide on the turn but weakened in the final furlong. ROMAN EMPRESS trailed in the opening stages off the inside, continued off the pace three then four wide on the turn and proved no menace. DANCE KID coaxed from the gate, raced well off the rail near the back, traveled outside ROMAN EMPRESS in the four then five path around the bend and lacked the needed response.
