SCENE BY ME set the tone under pressure from CURLIN COMMAND to the outside, maintained a short lead through the turn, edged clear from that rival past the eighth pole and was kept busy to the wire. BIG BILL came in and bumped OTTO'S MAGIC early, settled just out of range on the inside, tipped two wide at the quarter pole, angled out in upper stretch, finished well and nailed CURLIN COMMAND for the place honors. CURLIN COMMAND pressed the pace between rivals, kept the heat on SCENE BY ME through the turn, fought to the eighth pole, then lost contact with the winner shortly after, stayed close through deep stretch and got nailed for second. JUST A GRAZE tracked three deep early, moved to the four path on the turn and finished evenly through the stretch. DANZING WILD CAT followed in range between rivals, chased two wide through the turn, found the rail in the stretch and could not produce a bid. LITTLE RAYMOND raced near the back on the inside, went two wide into the turn, tipped three wide midway around the bend, moved out in upper stretch and lacked further response. BEER BUZZ raced up close outside the top pair, remained three wide around the bend and weakened. OTTO'S MAGIC got bumped from outside early, stalked along the rail, ridden through the turn and faded out of contention. HE'S A GANGSTER rubbed the gate to break a bit slow, trailed in the early going, navigated the turn three to four wide and failed to respond.
