BROOKLYN BLONDE raced up close outside the leader then pressed through the early stages, headed GETTING CLOSER at the five-sixteenths pole, inched ahead at the quarter pole and cleared shortly after, put to right handed urging in the lane and remained clear to the wire. WOLF HILL stalked from inside then a bit off the rail on the first turn, asked two then three wide on the second bend, drifted out and in through the stretch and finished willingly for a clear second. APPLES Y PEACHES stalked two to three wide outside a rival, traveled three deep into the far turn, moved out to the four path around the bend, chased within striking distance to the eighth pole and flattened in the late stages. GETTING CLOSER grabbed the lead from inside, set the pace with BROOKLYN BLONDE alongside, headed by that rival midway around the far turn, yielded past the quarter pole and faded down the lane. FORTUNATE TRUTH climbed briefly prior to the first turn while trailing the field, saved ground to the stretch and passed a tired rival. MASS settled two then three wide early, drew closer and angled in on the backstretch, eased off the rail to the three path around the far turn and tired in the stretch.
