ROMANTIC RIDE broke a bit awkwardly at the start but still came away with the field, settled off the pace, crept closer in the two path on the turn, got floated out a bit at the top of the stretch, closed in and drew alongside THIRSTY REBEL at the sixteenth pole and drove clear late. CHASE N RYAN chased the dueling pace from inside into the turn, came under a ride around the bend, tipped out into the stretch, angled back to the inside in deep stretch and got up for second. THIRSTY REBEL dueled from outside up the backstretch and around the turn, cleared into the stretch, got run down in deep stretch by ROMANTIC RIDE and got edged for second. UECKER dueled inside THIRSTY REBEL, brushed the rail late on the bend and weakened down the lane. ARKADELPHIA chased from off the pace on the inside, ridden along around the bend, then weakened under left handed urging in the stretch. MAKER AND SONS trailed up the backstretch, eased at the three-eighth pole, pulled up in upper stretch and walked off.
