DURAN was off slow to begin, tracked along the rail then in the two path on the first turn, drew closer in the middle stages, bid three deep at the three-eighths pole, fought outside JOINT VERNTURE past the five-sixteenths marker and put a head in front, drifted in and brushed that rival at the eighth pole and gamely prevailed. JOINT VENTURE stalked two wide early, went up to challenge for command between rivals into the backstretch, gained the lead at the three-eighths pole, dueled inside DURAN midway around the far turn, lost command but fought back from the fence, brushed with DURAN at the eighth pole and stayed on gamely to the wire. MAJESTIC PALISADES stalked from inside, asked two then three wide on the second bend, closed gamely but could not get by the top pair. RESEMBLANCE raced two then three wide in mid-pack early, stayed off the rail through the second bend, went two wide into the lane, angled to the rail in upper stretch, steered back out midstretch and lacked the needed response. RIMPROTECTOR broke a step slow, trailed three then two wide around the first turn, went two wide into the second bend, moved out to the four path then angled back in a few paths and passed tired rivals. PASS THE BATON sat off the pace in the three path, stayed off the fence through the far turn and failed to menace. LEYAS CANDY stalked three wide early then went up to challenge for command, vied three deep up the backstretch, yielded to the leaders and gave chase three then four wide on the far turn before tiring in the lane. FEEL THE MAGIC took control and moved inside, pressured by outer pair into the backstretch, lost command entering the far turn, yielded around the bend and retreated.
