SIMPLE SONG stalked the top pair from off the rail, challenged three then two wide on the turn, dueled in upper stretch, put a head in front at the eighth pole and disposed of COMEDY TOWN in the final sixteenth. COMEDY TOWN pressed the pace from outside, gained command with three furlongs remaining, found the rail after clearing PALI KITTEN midway around the bend while also meeting the bid from SIMPLE SONG, dueled with that rival into the final furlong but yielded in deep stretch. RED FLAG unhurried in the opening stages, went two wide into the turn, angled out and came four wide into the lane and was along for the show honors. FOR ALL MANKIND chased along the rail into the turn, asked while easing out to the three path around the bend but flattened out in the late stages. THE LAST STRAW raced off the pace and angled to the inside, chased two wide into the lane and lacked the needed response. BALADI was off slow from outside, chased outside rivals into the turn, went three then four wide around the bend and weakened. PALI KITTEN showed the way under pressure from COMEDY TOWN up the backstretch, was overtaken at the three-eighths pole, yielded midway around the bend and retreated through the lane.
