FINAL BOSS followed in range on the inside, dropped off the pace on the backstretch, ridden along the fence on the far turn, rallied between rivals into the final furlong, dueled inside EL POTENTE late and gamely prevailed. EL POTENTE settled next to the rail then quickly moved to the two path early on the clubhouse turn, continued in the two path towards the rear leaving the backstretch, picked up stride around the far turn, spun three wide into the lane, bid four deep at the eighth pole, battled outside FINAL BOSS in the late stages and came up just short in the end. ALMENDARES (GB) raced inside a rival at the back through the early going, had one beat still running along the fence into the lane, moved off the fence a bit midstretch while closing and was along for third. GAS ME UP laid off the pace outside a rival then three deep on the clubhouse turn, navigated the second bend in the two path, angled out in upper stretch and put in a mild rally but needed to find more late. MI HERMANO RAMON allowed to settle on the inside, raced well off the pace to the far turn, came under a ride while continuing to save ground, chased a bit off the rail into the lane, closed in but ran into traffic and had to steady past the eighth pole, altered to a clear path and kept on to the wire but missed out on a minor award. CABO SPIRIT away quickest and showed early foot inside MI BAGO before taking a stalking position on the inside, fell out of range of the leader on the backstretch but remained closest in pursuit, chased two wide through the far turn, bid between rivals with a furlong remaining but flattened out in the late stages. ASTRONOMER reserved outside a rival at the back of the pack in the opening stages, trailed two wide into the lane, angled out in the lane and was never a factor. MI BAGO showed speed outside CABO SPIRIT then cleared that rival and crossed over into the first turn, opened up on the backstretch, remained well clear through the far turn, grew weary in upper stretch and was reeled in by rivals, clung to a narrow lead at the eighth pole and caved when overtaken.
