COUNTERBALANCE was closest early in the two path, chased outside a rival up the backstretch, remained two wide through the far turn, challenged between into the lane, put a head in front past the eighth pole and drove clear in the last sixteenth. HYPERGAMY took control quickly and moved inside, controlled the pace for six furlongs, challenged by outer pair turning for home, clung to a narrow lead at the eighth pole, lost command shortly after and stayed on to hold off HIMIKA for second. HIMIKA broke a step slow, tracked in the two path at the rear, was on the move three wide around the far turn, challenged three deep coming into the stretch, fought into deep stretch and flattened late. YOURS SINCERELY (IRE) tracked HYPERGAMY along the rail, stayed on the fence through the far turn, trailed into the stretch and faded down the lane.
