Footnotes
TRACK TIGER sprinted clear, showed the way along the inside around the turn, moved off the fence over the dirt, felt SAMMY DAVIS looming to the outside, dug in under right handed urging and inched away from the runner-up. SAMMY DAVIS was closest in pursuit down the hill, raced along the rail then in the two path, moved out a bit further over the dirt, took aim at the winner from outside down the lane but could not summon the needed late kick. WON FOR LOU sat off the pace in the early going, went two wide around the bend, angled out approaching the dirt and lacked a rally down the lane. LUCKY AND GONE settled outside WON FOR LOU, took the turn three wide, got floated out crossing surfaces, drifted in under right handed urging in upper stretch and weakened.
