IRISH ELEMENT prominent three deep on the first turn, headed NEXT TRICK on the backstretch, battled through the far turn and into the lane, inched ahead with a furlong remaining and kicked clear in deep stretch. NEXT TRICK vied for the lead inside rivals into the first turn then cleared around the bend, challenged by IRISH ELEMENT on the backstretch, carried a narrow lead through the far turn, lost command in upper stretch and weakened late. STAGE RUN stalked up close from the rail position, remained on the fence to the far turn, tipped three wide while being asked around the bend, weakened in the lane but was able to secure third. BRAHMS MENDELSSOHN was off slow from inside, angled five wide early on the clubhouse turn then steered to the two path while pulling, continued to tug the rider forward into the backstretch, steered out, passed tired rivals three to four wide on the far turn and faded in the lane. RACHEL'S GIG showed early foot between rivals then stalked in the two path,, was ridden along up the backstretch, dropped back on the far turn and tired in the drive. SILVERSMITH raced up close four deep around the clubhouse turn, chased after the top pair outside a pair of rivals on the backstretch, tired on the far turn, eased through the lane and walked off.
