Footnotes
SUMTER gained forward position willingly early while switching outside the pacesetter, stalked that one into the turn, drifted out leaving that bend, bid soon after near the three-sixteenths, found a stubborn foe inside, dueled to the wire and just got the nod. QUEREME PASS (ARG) was quick to take the lead, set the pace racing just off the rail into the turn, drifted out a bit leaving that bend, was headed in upper stretch, dug in to fight back gamely but just missed. GENIUS JIMMY settled toward the back, tracked the leaders from inside foes on the far turn, altered out for room near the sixteenth pole, finished very strongly outside the leading pair but just missed. SORRENTO SKY (IRE) was up close outside stalking three to four deep through the turn, was carried out a bit leaving that bend, failed to rally in the stretch. GRAN ORIENTE (CHI) was between runners at the back two to three wide, went evenly and made no bid. SEAL TEAM (GB) settled at the back racing outside foes four wide into the turn, bore out ten wide crossing the dirt path, failed to rally thereafter.
