MONGOLIAN MAX stalk leaders while bit off the rail, awaited room early on second turn, rushed up between ELEGANT LIFE and LAST CALL PAUL past three-eighths marker, bumped the former twice unseated that horse's rider and kicked clear. MIGHTY KAI brushed with DARK MARCUS at the break, tracked leaders from off the rail, caught four deep on the second turn, bid three wide into the lane and finished well. LAST CALL PAUL forced the pace into and thru the backstretch, caught three deep and between rivals on the second turn, came in bit thru the lane and weakened. MALIBU ROCKS reserved along the rail early, later angled out and failed to produce serious late threat. DARK MARCUS brushed with outside foe at the break, checked off heels of MIGHTY KAI on the first turn, chased from the inside and weakened. ELEGANT LIFE stepped to the front, set pace from the inside continued along the rail on the second bend, bumped twice with ELEGANT LIFE past the three-eighths marker, hit the rail and unseated its rider. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INVOVLING THE INCIDENT ON THE SECOND TURN AND DISQUALIFIED MONGELIAN MAX FOR BUMPING TWICE WITH ELEGANT LIFE CAUSING THAT HORSE TO HIT THE INSIDE RAIL AND UNSEAT ITS RIDER. MONGELIAN MAX WAS THEN UNPLACED.
