BEEBLEBROX bothered by inner rival early on the clubhouse turn, tracked outside a rival up the backstretch, drew closer around the far turn, bumped between rivals in upper stretch, angled out past the eighth pole, fought five deep into the last sixteenth and edged clear. WASTING ACES tucked inside at the rear, raced inside a rival in the middle stages, tipped out and bumped BEEBLEBROX into the lane, found traffic in upper stretch, split foes in deep stretch and got up for second. SHAPOVAL followed in range three then two wide early, made a move three deep around the second bend, took over past the quarter pole, held a short lead into the final sixteenth and got outkicked by the top pair. NINETEENTH HOLE stepped to the front and crossed over, showed the way under pressure up the backstretch, inched ahead of ISLAND PARADISE early on the far turn, headed at the quarter pole, lost the lead shortly after, fought back from inside into deep stretch and flattened late. GOING NOWHERE stalked the speed from the rail position, coaxed along behind the leader on the far turn, put in a rail bid but got outkicked in the late stages. STAR OF DELHI settled along the inside then moved out a bit around the first turn, gained three then four wide around the second bend but flattened out in the drive. ISLAND PARADISE brushed the gate and bobbled slightly, raced up close outside the leader, pressed up the backstretch, steadied in tight at the quarter pole, got bumped in upper stretch and weakened. MAUL tracked two wide then moved inside, altered out a bit at the quarter pole, got shuffled back in upper stretch and weakened.
