TOM'S STAR was prominent early from the rail position, saved ground through the far turn as well following the top pair, launched a rail bid at the top of the lane, battled with A FLEET RIDE and SWEET DELTA DAWN through the final furlong and got up in the final strides. A FLEET RIDE dueled inside a rival from the two path into the first turn, battled head to head with SWEET DELTA DAWN to the eighth pole, carried a short lead between rivals through deep stretch and got nailed by the winner. SWEET DELTA DAWN dueled outside A FLEET RIDE to upper stretch, vied three deep through the final furlong and got outgamed by the top pair. UNION HEIRESS trailed three wide into the first turn then angled outside a rival around the clubhouse turn, moved forward into the backstretch, asked in the three path on the far turn and weakened. SELSAE stalked in the two path, swung out approaching the stretch and could not rally. FAITHFUL TRUTH chased four then three wide around the first turn, dropped back under coaxing in the middle stages, lost more ground on the far turn and had little left for the stretch run.
