IRISH ROYALTY was closest in pursuit up the backstretch, challenged from outside at the five-sixteenths pole, took over leaving the turn, cleared in upper stretch, drifted inward midstretch and held well over the runner-up. YACOWLEF (IRE) tracked from inside, came off the rail into the lane, went up to challenge IRISH ROYALTY but had to pause when getting floated in midstretch, then finished gamely to the wire but lacked the needed final kick. ENTERDADRAGON trailed early, chased outside a rival at the back into the turn, angled out at the top of the lane, offered a mild rally and nailed RE ARMED JON for third. RE ARMED JON followed in range from off the rail, navigated the turn three wide, moved out in the lane, failed to produce a bid and got edged for third. BALLYVAUGHAN GIG allowed to settle out of range in the early going, traveled two wide then found the rail late on the bend, moved out under left handed urging and could not threaten. HELICITY had to steady then started to pull for a bit early, chased from off the pace to the turn, took the turn three then two wide and lacked a rally. SUPERSONIC BLUE sprinted to the front from inside, challenged at the five-sixteenths pole, lost command leaving the bend and gave way. FOMO JOE traveled on the inside near the back then trailed inside a rival into the turn, hugged the rail to the stretch and was never a factor. THE RIDER ABOARD YACOWLEF (IRE) LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST IRISH ROYALTY FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS UNANIMOUSLY RULED THAT ALTHOUGH IRISH ROYALTY DID DRIFTED IN AND CAUSE YACOWLEF (IRE) TO STEADY SLIGHTLY, THE INCIDENT DID NOT WARRANT A DISQUALIFICATION AND THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
