CORNUCOPIAN broke well then stalked three deep to the turn, challenged the top pair from outside around the bend, seized control in upper stretch and drew clear from LISTENUPSHANCE in deep stretch. LISTENUPSHANCE pressed BARTHOLDY for a bit then stalked that rival up the backstretch, drew alongside that rival once again at the five-sixteenths pole, put a head in front past the quarter pole, relinquished the lead to CORNUCOPIAN in upper stretch and stayed on for a clear second. BARTHOLDY bothered slightly leaving the gate then sent for the lead, pressured by LISTENUPSHCANCE to the five-eighths pole then cleared, confronted by that rival again midway on the turn, lost the lead past the quarter pole, failed to kick on with the leaders at the top of the stretch, weakened in the furlong grounds but was able to hold third. SUBSANADOR (ARG) broke in and bumped, trailed up the backstretch, went two wide around the bend and passed tired rivals. JUDGE MILLER chased out wide then dove down to the inside in the early going, ridden along the fence on the turn, came off the rail into the lane and weakened. GETAWAY CAR followed in range four deep to the turn, lost ground under asking around the bend and faded down the lane.
