Footnotes
SO HAPPY stalked the dueling leaders three deep to the far turn, challenged the top pair from outside on the far turn, put a head in front at the top of the lane, dueled with POTENTE to midstretch and drew away late. POTENTE traded leads dueling with ROBUSTA to the far turn, fought outer rivals at the quarter pole, dueled inside SO HAPPY coming to the lane, lost the lead shortly after, battled to midstretch and yielded to the winner in the final sixteenth. VITRUVIAN MAN stalked the leaders inside a pair of rivals, dropped back on the far turn, stayed on the inside to the stretch and kept on to overtake INTREPIDO for the show honors. INTREPIDO away quickest from outside, dropped back a bit to track the leaders four deep around the clubhouse turn, remained widest up the backstretch, came under a ride still in the four path on the far turn, flattened out in the stretch and lost third. START THE RIDE stalked the top pair from between rivals, chased two wide around the far turn, spun three wide into the lane and faded. CHEROKEE NATION lost his footing at the start, trailed in the two path around the clubhouse turn, steered out on the second bend and came four wide into the stretch, then failed to summon the needed rally when called upon. ROBUSTA bobbled leaving the gate but recovered quickly and contested the pace outside POTENTE, dueled with that rival to the five-sixteenths pole, vied between foes with a quarter mile remaining, yielded to the top pair entering the lane and tired.
